Today we met up with Aunt Summer and Uncle Daniel at the Peter Luger Steakhouse in Brooklyn, a famous American classic steakhouse that has been named the best steakhouse in New York City by Zagat for 30 years in a row.
Love love love the food at Sakagura (酒蔵). One of the best izakaya places we’ve ever been to. Will definitely go back the next time we are in New York. Seared Washu beef with grated diakon radish and ponzu sauce.
Today was our first time at Daniel, a three Michelin star French restaurant by Chef Daniel Boulud in the Upper West Side. Kind of an early celebration of our anniversary in April 🙂 We picked different things from the 3-course prix
We have tried Ippudo Ramen in Tokyo and loved it. So on this trip to New York City, we headed over to Ippudo NY without hesitation.
We found this ramen place called Kamamarui Ramen out in Burnaby. Not bad! Tonkotsu ramen as usual 🙂
Pretty good yakitori place called Zakkushi. They have a few locations in Vancouver and we tried the one at the West End. Chicken skin. Juicy and crispy!
One of Brian’s favorite places to eat in Vancouver is Meat & Bread. Every time we go back to Vancouver, we always go get their famous Porchetta Sandwich at least once! Meat & Bread at the Pender Street location.
Today we enjoyed a nice family dinner at Hawksworth, located inside the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, to celebrate my mom and brother-in-law’s birthdays. Thanks Daphne for the treat! 🙂 Brian got a tasty glass of dirty martini to start with.
After visiting friends in the West Hollywood area, we decided to give Silverlake Ramen a try. It was a 45 minute wait on a Saturday at 8:30pm, but it didn’t disappoint! We will come back if we are in the area
