Tokyo

We brought some snacks back from our trip to Tokyo. Loved everything! Hiyoko – Baby chick sweet steamed bun with yellow bean jam.

Today we had a great Kaiseki experinece at Imahan (人形町今半) located in Ginza.   I had the Ko-Kaiseki (小会席).

Among the few bowls of ramen we tried in Tokyo, Brian’s favorite was Ippudo (博多一風堂).

My favorite ramen place among the ones we tried on this trip to Tokyo is Ichiran (一蘭)! I love how you could customize the soup, the noodle, and the ingredients to your likings. Self-serve vending machine where you purchase your ticket.  

One night we had dinner at Torikaku (鶏料理専門店). We were so hungry and ran into this place by accident. It looked quite happening from the outside and the food turned out to be great!  Beer please! While we study the menu.

Many travel blogs mentioned Sushi Dai (寿司大), located at Tsukiji Fish Market (築地市場) as one of the best sushi places in Tokyo. So here we are!  We were there around 8am, after we arrived from the airport and put down out lugguges at
