Kantaro Sushi is a hidden gem in a little ghetto plaza in Torrance. You need to make sure you make a reservation with them, otherwise you are mostly likely to be turned away. Their ~$40 omakase includes sashimi plate, 10 pieces

Phnom Penh, this Cambodian restaurant is another one of our favorites in Vancouver. Their famous Cambodian-style dry rice noodles.

Davanti Enoteca at Little Italy, San Diego
Every summer, Brian travels to San Diego for a week for work. This year he had to be there during Fourth of July, so I joined him and we spent the day sightseeing and tried Davanti Enoteca at Little Italy.
