Dessert time in Paris

One must have desserts in Paris!

Our favorite this time was 2000 Feuilles from Pierre Hermé. Their official description says it the best, “2000 feuilles presents a harmony of textures: caramelized puff pastry and crushed hazelnuts contrast with the creaminess of its praline mousseline cream. Thin pieces of Britanny-style crêpe dentelle biscuit provide the crispy layered texture. Wonderfully flavourful.”

We also enjoyed their famous Isaphan – Rose macaron biscuit, with rose petal cream flavoured with litchi, and whole raspberries.

On a different day we went to Angelina and had their Mont-Blanc and Millefeuille, although for some reason we felt that they tasted better when we tried them 5 years ago.

“Mont-Blanc” – Cake with whipped cream and chestnut paste.

“Millefeuille” – Puff pastry with vanilla cream.

Also brininging some macarons from Ladurée back home for Brian.
