Today we celebrated Daphne’s birthday at a new Italian restaurant Osteria Savio Volpe. Great food and friendly service in an intimate setting. Everything is meant to be shared family style and everything we tried was great! The fresh-made pasta is delicious!
Beets, grilled chicories, ricotta, vincotto, with walnuts.
Buffalo Mozzerella, winter caponata, almonds, pomegranate.
Prosciutto with apple slices and grana (similar to parmesan).
Marinated olives with wild fennel and lemon.
Tortiglioni, shortrib braciola, Sunday sugo.
Grilled squid, chickpeas with tomato, chili, and parsley.
Ravioli, pumpkin, squash, amaretti, sage.
Roasted suckling pig with crispy skin, served with salsa verde and topped with a fried egg. This was probably our favorite dish of the night!
Cauliflower and broccoli.
Smashed root vegetables.
Chocolate tart with olive oil, sea salt and pinenuts.
Trio of Beta 5 gelato – chocolate, lemon, and something else~
We would definitely come back to try more! By the way, Savio Volpe means ‘wise fox’.
