Today we’re having Brian’s yummy homemade guacamole!
Ingredients: Avocados, Rotel diced tomatoes, shallots, jalapenos, bacon bits, lime, and cilantro.
Cut up the shallots and jalapenos, and add them in with the bacon bits into the mixing bowl.
Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Leave the pit with finished guacamole will prevent the guacamole from turning brown.
Cut the avocado into chunks and scoop them out with a spoon into the mixing bowl.
Add finely chopped cilantro.
Add in the Rotel tomatoes.
Season with black pepper, garlic powder, salt, and paprika according to your likings.
Give it a good mix.
Enjoy your homemade guacamole with tortilla chips.
As mentioned earlier, leaving the guacamole pit in will prevent the guacamole from turning brown. Another good tip is to place the Saran wrap tight on the surface of the guacamole (so there is no contact with air). But the best way is… just finish the whole bowl right away!! 🙂
