A trip to Phoenix and Scottsdale

Brian had a business trip to Phoenix so I tagged along! Not a whole lot to do in the city except trying out a few restaurants 🙂

Calamari, lightly tossed in garlic, with parsley and sea salt. Served with red pepper aioli.

“Straccetti” – Pizza dough topped with tomato sauce, chopped basil, and parmigiano.

“Polpette” – Cibo’s signature meatballs with crusty bread. This was really good!

“Linguine Cacio e Pepe” – Toasted ground black pepper with extra virgin olive oil and Italian butter, finished with parmiggiano Reggiano, pecorino Romano and micro greens.

Our best meal in Phoenix: Little Miss BBQ! They are open at 11am and there are people lining up before they open! We got there around 1pm (on the first day, as soon as we arrived, go the rental car, etc), and had to wait in line for about an hour. Too bad the fatty brisket sold out as we waited…
